Step 9- Grant Evaluation

Grant Evaluation Follow-Up

Most grant makers require that grant recipients engage in some type of grant evaluation follow-up with them in order to ensure funds are being properly dispersed. Follow up can range from brief communication to formal evaluation. Formal evaluation methods generally look for measurable outcomes. Measurable outcomes can include evidence of community impact and improvement, completion of building or repairs, or quantitative and qualitative measurement of progress, dependent upon what the funds are being used for. If you do not already have a method of evaluation for your organization or project, please notify your grant writing company that you need help compiling one. Again, a diverse staff containing various skill sets and background should allow them the resources necessary to assist you in this final but important part of the grant seeking process.
